Electronical Issues

Term: elec·tron·ic·al
Pronunciation: i-,lek-,trä-nik-kel
Function: adjective

1: of or relating to electronics

2: of or relating to things electric

I'm having MAJOR issues with all things electric and electronical in my life!! Lets list this out shall we:

1. Cell phone. To charge my cell I have to wrap the cord around the phone three times to hold the charger in at a certain angle. If it is not at that particular angel, it will not charge. I only have three little teeth left on my charge cord as all of the others have broken off in my phone.

2. Hands free blue tooth. The good one fell out of my purse and lived in a puddle overnight. The new one is horrible!!! Won't stay in my ear and I can't hear people talking and they can't hear me.

3. Work computer. All day, everyday my work computer will suddenly just freeze. Eight out of ten times I can't even use the control/alt/delete. It won't come up. Six of those eight times I can't even push the power button. I have to turn off the power strip to the computer to get the stupid thing to shut off. Then once it reboots it can not locate my:

4. Work printer. My computer will not locate this printer that I have sitting two feet from my computer for anywhere from 2 to 15 minutes.

5. DVD player. The VHS portion of my DVD player still works. But my DVD player no longer recognizes DVD's.

6. Ipod. My ipod will no longer connect to my laptop.

7. Printer. My home printer was not installed correctly on my laptop so I get errors everyday telling me just that.

8. Laptop. I keep getting an error with detecting and reading the tray. Whatever that means.

9. Car. Yes my car. This is the scariest one of all. The other morning it was icy an cold out. I turned on all of my defrosts and had the radio and my head lights on. I couldn't see out the side windows so I rolled them down. I get through the intersection and start to roll them up only to find that the passenger window is not budgeing. If you know anything about me you know that my Honda is the 'Lemon of all Lemon's' my dad calls it. So the window thing is not that surprising. What was surprising however was the fact that as I'm trying to lean over and pull up on the widow as I'm pushing the button to roll it up as well, my radio display goes blank, my odometer goes blank, all of my gages drop like the car is off, no gas gauge, speedometer, temperature etc. The headlights and interior dash lights all go off... minus the warning ABS & SRS lights that suddenly come on that dash. While the engine is still running mind you. So I stop trying to roll up the window for a minute, while sitting there freezing, and within about 60 seconds the radio display comes back on. Hooray!! I push the passenger window up button, and the radio goes back out. Boo. I turn off the front and rear defrosters and low and behold the radio and all dash displays come back on and the widow rolls up. Okay so maybe it was just a fluke. Or so I thought until this morning. I'm driving down the freeway with both defrosters on and radio etc... and off go all the usual suspects and on come the warning lights about the ABS. I turn off the rear defrost and the they come back on. I call the garage my dad has a friend at and after some research he tells me that Honda is the only one that can deal with this as it is a problem with my car's computer. I tell my dad I can NOT deal with Honda again... so bless his buns, he calls for me. They tell him that they have NEVER heard of anything like that before ever. But if I come down and pay them $125 they would be happy to tell me that again.

And so in conclusion:
1. I need a new cell phone.
Solution: My plan is to get it before my b-day in January.
2. I need a new and good hands free.
Solution: See above.
3. Need a new computer at work.
Solution: not going to happen.
4. The printer probably works... if the computer would.
Solution: See solution # and suffer.
5. DVD/VHS player.
Solution: If I do not get one for Christmas or my B-day, then I will buy one for myself in February.
6. Ipod/laptop needs to be looked at.
Solution: Call the computer guy I know and pay him the $15 an hour to fix it.
7. Printer needs to be reinstalled.
Solution: See solution #6.
8. Laptop need to be looked at.
Solution: See solution #6.
9. Car needs to go away.
Solution: Buy new car state and trade in my hoopty before they know it is dying. (In the mean time lets pray it doesn't act up on me in the rain or at night and all of my lights and displays go out!!!)

Wow, I thought I had hardware issues!! My ipod won't work either, my stereo system stopped playing cds and my computer (well, after I plugged in the power strip it worked again, ha!) needs a new battery regardless.

I didn't know you had a blog either til yesterday! Guess if I actually called you once in a while I would know that huh??

Merry Christmas!!! Hope Santa is good to you and takes care of one of the items on your list. :)
