30 & Flirty?? More like halfway to 60!!
For several reasons:
I am fatter than I ever have been in my entire life.
I have never been never married.
I've never had children.
I have an unstable, low paying job.
I don't have a college degree.
I have no money or savings.
I still living with my parents.
My body is falling apart and I'm always in pain.
Truly I am just pathetic. I AM that pathetic, fat spinster women that lives with her parents and has a crap load of cats. Except I hate cats. How sad is it that I'm only a cat away.... So no. I don't feel 30 and flirty. I feel halfway to 60.
Happy flippen birthday to me.

It's Birthday Time Again from Paul Piazza
Stacey James Carpet Assistant,
Gets Stuff Done in Just an Instant,
Has to Work with Carpet Slime,
Gets Stuff Done Right on Time;
But Now She is 30 and is Going Away,
Yep On a Cruise but back Someday,
To Do a Bunch More Carpet Stuff,
Cause She Misses Us a Great Big Bunch;
Now Please Behave While on that Cruise,
Be Sure Not to Drink Too Much Booze,
And Please Don’t Jump Over Board,
While Missing all us Carpet Whores;
So What More Can I Say This Day,
Have a Happy Birthday as You Go
On Your Way!
Piazza & Company. Inc.
A Birthday Poem 2008 from Paul Piazza
Stacey James Blackwood She's Our Friend,
Helps with Carpet Stuff Until Days End,
Doesn't Complain at Least to My Face,
Most Likely Thinks I'm Lost in Space;
But that's Alright Cause She is Cool,
Works Really Hard for us Carpet Fools,
Comes in Early, Goes Home Late,
I Hope She Doesn't Have a Tragic Fate;
She's Been A Joy to Work With Here,
At BSI for us Carpet Queers (not like in gay),
We Sales Slime are a Sorted Bunch,
But Stacey Still Goes and Gets us Lunch;
So What More can be said of Our Friend,
We Hope She's Here Until the End,
A Great Big Happy Birthday to You,
We Love you Stacey, Thanks for All you Do !

Pathetic
Twenty years ago I was about to turn ten. I lived with my parents. I was at my peak weight (like I seriously plumped up) (hitting puberty will do that too you... so I like to tell myself). No money. I was going to school. Of course not married or had kids... Mommy did my laundry and made all of my food.
Ten years later I was about to turn twenty. I lived with my parents. I was at the peak weight of my teens. I had a crappy job. No money. I was going to an JC in Livermore. I wasn't married. I had no kids. Mommy did my laundry and made all of my food.
Today I'm about to turn thirty. I still live with my parents. I am at my peak weight of my life. I have an unstable, low paying job. I am so broke. I'm going to a JC in Modesto. I'm not married. I have no kids. Mommy does my laundry, makes all of my food and packs me a lunch every day.
Three decades and I am EXACTLY where I was. I have done nothing. I haven't accomplished anything. I haven't gone anywhere. Three decades. I am the ONLY person I know that still lives with my parents, isn't married, doesn't have kids, doesn't live away from home. The ONLY one.
I am SOOOOOO sick of everyone giving me the bull shit line about how if they could they would still live at home too. BULL SHIT I say!!! You would not!!! You would NOT choose to be 30 years old living with your parents!!! You are all liars!!! Living with your parents in your early 20's is one thing. To be in your 30's and live there is completely different!!! Guess what, I WANT to do things like do my own grocery shopping. I WANT to do my own laundry. I WANT to pay the PG&E bill. Do you know why? Because that means I HAVE A LIFE and I'm part of the living!!!! Living at home like I'm 8 years old is not a life anyone should want at 30 years old. And if you do, you are really stupid. It's like being a prisoner. Let me strip you of all of your independence, tell you what to do, when to do it and how, tell you what to eat and how much, then turn out the lights for bed. I can get a college education in prison too. At least there I wouldn't have bills to pay on top of everything else. It is not as great as you people seem to think it is. So don't tell me how great I have it and how you would be doing what I am if you could because that is bull shit!!!! Go check yourself into a prison for thirty years then tell me how great it is. Tell me how great it is to know that your life has slipped away and you only have a few years left to try to have children (which if you are me, you don't know if you can anyways). Tell me how great it is to see everyone around you grow up and have families and good jobs and lives and you still be in the SAME DAMN PLACE you have been for your whole life. Don't tell me how I could change things and I bring this upon myself. You think I haven't tried?? You think I haven't moved across the country before to do that?? You think I haven't tried to make relationships work and get married etc?? You think I haven't tried to get a good and stable job?? You think I haven't tried to move out with friends?? You think I haven't tired to move out on my own?? Do you really think I though to myself you know, I want to live my parents for the rest of my life and I'm going to do nothing and make sure that I have no life. Give me a fucking break.
Just once I would like someone to be like you know what, your life and situation IS pretty pathetic. Because it is. And I would like them to say, you know, I really thought you would do more with your life. What a waste. And I would thank them. Because at least they would be honest and not lying to my face giving me bull shit lines about how great I have it and they would switch places with me if they could. Don't try sell me your fucking lies here. I'm not buying them.

Health Update
I also don't want to have to have anything taken out before my cruise in January.
In the meantime my insurance doesn't want to cover my prescription to heal my stomach. sigh. While my Dr. tries to clear things up with them, they were kind enough to give me 10 days worth of samples from their office so things don't get any worse. Bless their hearts.
I'm trying to stay positive....

Traveling Buddies!!
Oahu, Hawaii: 1996
Here we are on our way!!

We also climbed Diamond Head, went snorkeling here and there and places I don't remember the names too... Ask Denae. Hahaha. And I think here we were on our way down to snorkel. I believe this is Hunauma Bay.
We also met the locals at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Very cool dinner show!! I remember eating the ice cream out of the coconut. I also had my first papaya, Sushimi and Mongolian food on this trip. I would remember the food. LOL! (that girl is Denae's cousin or something. I can't remember that either.)
We also went to the outdoor flea market and got caught in the middle of a normal tropical rain that they have all the time.
Denae's sister also took us to Pearl Harbor and we were able to tour a live submarine. We did lots of other fun stuff too.... It was great times!! I can't wait to go back!!

There she is!! See the spec in the back ground?? Ha!! This was on our night time cruise.

We also walked the City a lot... and during our walk we ran into an on TV (at the time) reality celebrity. Momma from The Restaurant. They were closed for lunch but we did go back for dinner. It was easy to see why it closed.... The man that took this picture is actually Rocco's brother!! We asked him if he knew a good place for lunch and he took us down the street to his restaurant The Union Pacific. It reminded me of a Barbie wonderland in there. Hot pink everywhere. The lunch specials were a choice of one of three preselected three course meals. I had the soft shell crab... it was interesting. Definitely an experience!!!

We walked to Times Square & Madison Square Garden and other places I can't remember. I also took the subway at 7am to get to the Statue of Liberty tour and Ellis Island tour. That too was an experience. Lots of walking and blisters!! Good times!! (it did rain on me the last day)
Washington D.C. 2007
Courtney M.
Just arrived and ready to explore!!
No longer thin or tan. Pisser. Us and Mr. Lincoln. We visited several monuments that day.
That is the White House in the distance. Again with the rain on my trips. What is up with that?!?!
Here we are inside of the State Capital. We had a tour. That was very cool!! POW MIA
We went to the home of George Washington in Mount Vernon, Virginia. While we were there they had part of the set for National Treasure II up. See it in the background??
We walked all over the place!! And we took the metro too. There is no way I can remember everything... but Courtney has blogged about it on her Washington DC Trip Recap. She has LOTS of great details and pictures so check it out!!
So those are my traveling buddies... each of whom I have been on at least one trip with. In January ALL of my traveling buddies and I are going on a CRUISE together!!! I'm totally excited and cracking up how that all worked out. Can't wait!!

I just want a tan!!
Months later my friend Denae tells me about the place she has gone to before. I'm like okay, I will check it out. I did and I liked it and I signed up. I was a member there (on and off again) for the next 2 years. My previous renewal was expired so I renewed on a Monday night for the next 6 months. I went back that Thursday to find signs on the door that they had gone out of business. WTF?!?!?!?! That is twice now I have renewed and within a freaking week they close!!!!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
So I'm pretty darn white right now and I'm not liking it. I also don't like that I will be going on a cruise in just a few days and I will probably burn if I see the sun. So I broke down and went to the last tanning salon standing in Tracy and signed up. I also told the guy that I felt sorry for them because by me signing up they are doomed to close and that I will never again pay upfront. So instead I am doing month to month so that if and when they do go out of business on me, I can just stop payment instead of being out 6 months of tanning and money. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will at least be in business until after my cruise and up until summer really. And yes I'm sure people are reading this thinking "well I guess that is a sign from God that you shouldn't induce skin cancer" and to that I say "(insert raspberry sound here)!!!"

Electronical Issues
Pronunciation: i-,lek-,trä-nik-kel
Function: adjective
1: of or relating to electronics
2: of or relating to things electric
I'm having MAJOR issues with all things electric and electronical in my life!! Lets list this out shall we:
1. Cell phone. To charge my cell I have to wrap the cord around the phone three times to hold the charger in at a certain angle. If it is not at that particular angel, it will not charge. I only have three little teeth left on my charge cord as all of the others have broken off in my phone.
2. Hands free blue tooth. The good one fell out of my purse and lived in a puddle overnight. The new one is horrible!!! Won't stay in my ear and I can't hear people talking and they can't hear me.
3. Work computer. All day, everyday my work computer will suddenly just freeze. Eight out of ten times I can't even use the control/alt/delete. It won't come up. Six of those eight times I can't even push the power button. I have to turn off the power strip to the computer to get the stupid thing to shut off. Then once it reboots it can not locate my:
4. Work printer. My computer will not locate this printer that I have sitting two feet from my computer for anywhere from 2 to 15 minutes.
5. DVD player. The VHS portion of my DVD player still works. But my DVD player no longer recognizes DVD's.
6. Ipod. My ipod will no longer connect to my laptop.
7. Printer. My home printer was not installed correctly on my laptop so I get errors everyday telling me just that.
8. Laptop. I keep getting an error with detecting and reading the tray. Whatever that means.
9. Car. Yes my car. This is the scariest one of all. The other morning it was icy an cold out. I turned on all of my defrosts and had the radio and my head lights on. I couldn't see out the side windows so I rolled them down. I get through the intersection and start to roll them up only to find that the passenger window is not budgeing. If you know anything about me you know that my Honda is the 'Lemon of all Lemon's' my dad calls it. So the window thing is not that surprising. What was surprising however was the fact that as I'm trying to lean over and pull up on the widow as I'm pushing the button to roll it up as well, my radio display goes blank, my odometer goes blank, all of my gages drop like the car is off, no gas gauge, speedometer, temperature etc. The headlights and interior dash lights all go off... minus the warning ABS & SRS lights that suddenly come on that dash. While the engine is still running mind you. So I stop trying to roll up the window for a minute, while sitting there freezing, and within about 60 seconds the radio display comes back on. Hooray!! I push the passenger window up button, and the radio goes back out. Boo. I turn off the front and rear defrosters and low and behold the radio and all dash displays come back on and the widow rolls up. Okay so maybe it was just a fluke. Or so I thought until this morning. I'm driving down the freeway with both defrosters on and radio etc... and off go all the usual suspects and on come the warning lights about the ABS. I turn off the rear defrost and the they come back on. I call the garage my dad has a friend at and after some research he tells me that Honda is the only one that can deal with this as it is a problem with my car's computer. I tell my dad I can NOT deal with Honda again... so bless his buns, he calls for me. They tell him that they have NEVER heard of anything like that before ever. But if I come down and pay them $125 they would be happy to tell me that again.
And so in conclusion:
1. I need a new cell phone.
Solution: My plan is to get it before my b-day in January.
2. I need a new and good hands free.
Solution: See above.
3. Need a new computer at work.
Solution: not going to happen.
4. The printer probably works... if the computer would.
Solution: See solution # and suffer.
5. DVD/VHS player.
Solution: If I do not get one for Christmas or my B-day, then I will buy one for myself in February.
6. Ipod/laptop needs to be looked at.
Solution: Call the computer guy I know and pay him the $15 an hour to fix it.
7. Printer needs to be reinstalled.
Solution: See solution #6.
8. Laptop need to be looked at.
Solution: See solution #6.
9. Car needs to go away.
Solution: Buy new car state and trade in my hoopty before they know it is dying. (In the mean time lets pray it doesn't act up on me in the rain or at night and all of my lights and displays go out!!!)
